RARE WW2 Austrian 8cm M8 HE Projectile, this is an early rare model witgh no removable base and thick walls, these were quickly replaced with a later moded with removable base and a fragmentation canister. Reason for the change was the fact that due to the walls being soo thick these were not very effective, they have only been used in Carphatian front in Poland. Overall the Projectile is in good contiion, it has been prifesionally cleaned and preserved.

The 8 cm Feldkanone M.8 was a field gun used by Austria-Hungary during World War I. It was a conventional design, with its most notable feature being its obsolescent autofrettaged bronze (so-called steel-bronze) barrel, necessary because Austria-Hungary still had trouble making steel of the proper quality. Its development was quite prolonged as the Austrians took years to decide on the proper recoil system and type of breech. Even then production difficulties prevented its introduction into service until 1907
